Sponsor terms

What a sponsor gets

One text panel labelled “Sponsor · Paid placement” on the chosen page for 12 months: the business name (up to 60 characters), one line (up to 80) and a link to the sponsor's own website. One sponsor per page: community page $99, topic page $199, home and compare pages $299. The 12 months start when the panel first goes live, or 30 days after payment if no panel text is entered by then. Nothing renews.

The panel is separate from the one banner ad (labelled “Advertisement”, from WeldonPC's own ad network AdEngine) that most pages show below the page; the panel stays the only sponsor on its page.

What sponsors do not get

Sponsors do not choose, see in advance, check or change any fact, and no page says a sponsor endorses or is endorsed by anyone. The panel is not a listing or a review.

Not accepted

Wording that looks official or governmental (for example “official”, “City of”, “County of”), news or political wording, superlatives and guarantees (“best”, “#1”, “guaranteed”), adult, gambling, drug and weapon offers, phone numbers or emails in the line, all-capitals text, link shorteners, and links that are not a plain https address of the sponsor's own site. The check is automatic and shown before saving.

Reports and removal

Any visitor can report a panel. Reports from three different networks within 30 days hide the panel until we review it. We can remove a panel that breaks these terms; if we do, we refund the unused months.

Refunds

Before the panel goes live, a sponsor can ask for a full refund through the correction form (choose “Purchase problem”). A refund or a PayPal dispute switches the panel off and frees the slot.
